Heavy and lovely

This cozy Saturday eve, with a darkened sky, lit candles, a Glenn asnoozing and a party awaiting, the Berlin October stay seems very, very far away. I think about Quaint Living's up and coming Japan trip and the short Kyoto stay of May and the mild April sun of London... all far, far away. I think my body has somehow snuck into winter mood in secret. Coats and soups and red wine, saffron, Christmas lights and waking up into the dark. Heavy and lovely.

Poladroids

Yesterday eve was a special cheese celebration event - 9 months
living with the Glenn. A loveliness that just keeps getting better.
One thumb is crossed for the future, and one tiny fist is shaking at
the heavens, for luck.









I spent this morning Poladroiding some of the Berlin pics for fun
(the originals will be posted later on). I quite like the look of it,
and the idea, but I agree with mr Glenn that the top and left
drop shadow is annoying.

The look of the Poladroid application itself and the pics "developing"
is a nice:ity indeed.


On a completely different note: A waitress at Moldau told me of this yestereve. I can't stop thinking about it.

MIKZ

Between soundcheck and gig we snuck off to see Bill Youngman at the MIKZ in Friedrichshain. We were greeted by the constant low thunder of base and a quick body search at the door.

Great place! I would love to go back...

Out of the cold, into the cold

Today is such a sleepy Sunday and I'm giving you nothing but nonsense, photowise.

These are actually the first pics I took going into Berlin and the beginning of five beautiful days of cold and rain and friends and
loud basey music and oh, Berlin.

This time we didn't get no 200 m2 wohnung but a Prenzlauer Berg livingroom that was in itself bigger than our entire tiny flat. The ceiling was resting among the stars and us Northeners laid curled up like macaroni in a bedsofa to stay warm, surrounded by red wine and big plans.

This early evening in Sthlm, in the back of my head, I'm thinking of Funeral in Berlin, of the ruins and the gold room and Michael Caine as Edna Dorph. There is a Berlin for each and everyone of us, although sometimes it lies secluded in time.



Alright, enough said - tonight is Billion Dollar Brain time.
