Are you feeling Revigorated?

I'm exhausted from a massive Easter.

Revigorators first live was a lovely thing,
I hope there will be plenty more of that!

Looking out my window it's snowing. Really.
Spring, spring, where did you go?

Indulgent

These days I think about my blog.
Where do I want to go and what do I want to make?

With the (inner) world at your fingertips, it's a question of choice and commitment, of narrowing things down or opening them up.
Is it a bunch of random photos, and if so are they strong enough?
Is there a theme and a plot or is it an illustrated Dear diary I make?

There are so many of us and I've always preferred to rely on point of view rather than skill, but I'm not sure I can in this case.

One point of view would be to focus on the things I make, but at least for now I work so slowly and film isn't always such s good forum for samples.

You do want to be in a constant forward, but right now all I have is a strong sense of dissatisfaction, I hope it's growing pains.

PS1. I send my likes to this.

PS2. In regards to my blog I say: Let's try anew.

Birds, a boat and a boy

The beautiful light of La Barceloneta made me remember the beautiful light of a June day that Glenn and I spent at Vinterviken - The Bay of Winter - last summer. Red wine and my boy, what more is a girl to want?

"Nice drip."

Today is a lovely Sunday. Last night I slept soundly for the first time in a week. In our tiny flat we listen to nonsense music, Glenn is fiddling with the Flexiwaves site and I pretend work on my animation. Yesterday was poor art and watching the trains go by from a bar.

Next week I'm volunteering at Tempo Documentary Festival, ripping tickets and watching movies. I like.

With a vengeance

From Märsta and back... with a vengeance!

Blogger is killing me with its' slowitude today.
Is it Blogger or my connection that's the beast?

For the record I must add I'm still in love with the snow.
I realize I might be the only one here in Sthlm.
I helped an old lady home from the shop today. She had wicked make up, super red glossy lips and green eye liner. And white hair. A looker. My poor mum can't even leave the house. It's not right.

Today has been a most inspiring day, I had a business meeting this morning, you never know what leads to what, but meeting up with inspiring, professional people is such a hoot. I was happy sweaty afterward and that's a proper happy feeling.

I forced myself to ta mitt pick och pack and go shopping for clothes afterward. I'd had that in my schedule for a week, Friday, go shopping. I don't like it much, trying things on and prancing about in boutiques, but I think I did well. A spring coat, a 20's style glitzy sweater, two skirts and a handbag shaped like a blue silky shell, with a gold shell locket. Most of it was second hand.

The coat needs alterations, I'll take it to my mother the seamstress that don't like sewing any more. In my mind I can hear her sigh already and make out her concentrated frown. We've already had two nervous phone conversations about the collar. (She's nervous, not I.)

That's what you get for making babies.
It's short and sweet and then there's trouble.

Silverblack

This is a proper ghetto squirrel, completely fearless.
It just stared back at me as I took photos.

I think I suffer from photo gluttony. I have photos coming out of my ears. My camera lies exhausted on my desk, a charger attached to its side. It's not impressed.

Yesterday we met up with what I hope is our future editor. It was a very inspiring meeting, out in the countryside in an eco house. Lots of thoughts go through my head, there are so many possibilities but only one certainty: The film will get made. Somehow.

I like this tin jar so so much, it's yesterday's second hand find. It's just perfect. And bigger than it looks in the pic.

Now I'll go play Russian snow roulette: Men are pushing down lumps of snow off of my roof, I'll go stand in my yard and see if I get hit or not. Come on - give me your best shot/shovel!

Vintage Monday

So I thought, to mix up the pictures of grey and snow and an occasional bar, how about I show you my latest vintage finds?

A beautiful cross stitch picture, one of the best I've seen when it comes to colour choise and motif. A magnetic backgammon, boy we've been in need of one for some time. The Berlin TV tower is vintage too, but a find from last summer. In the pic is also my father's sailor radio, it's seen the world and all seven oceans but will only tell of news, sports and current events. In the back is also my sister's 60's sleeping bag.

We're working on our vintage games collection. The All Electro one is quite boring, but a beaut, Hockey Sakmat I quite look forward to playing. What do you get when you combine chess and hockey? All I know is a dice is involved. Oh you crazy Checks. Cake on top of cake don't always lead to good. Didn't your mother's tell you that? If it did we'd all be eating our ice cream in a puddle of beer. See?

This postcard my grand father actually mailed me from Spain when I was little. I might frame it one day, in a deep frame so her skirt can take flight and not be pressed against the glass. Lovely girl.

Monday morning... I sit by my open window, with a chill in my heart and a coffee by my side. My internet is as fickle as ever, I fight for every sneak peak of The Great Www.

This weekend was a good one too. How about some shards and excerpts?
Our one year night with friends and love and laughter
Coffee with the tourists at sky bar Och himlen därtill, oh the view of Sthlm as it blånar
Fried cheese at Soldaten Svejk
Bandit Queen, what a smack in the face
Drinks with friends
Sharp glittery snow and sunshine
Sneaking into a shut down factory for photos
Roaming the second hands
Going to my mother's, she's ill and can barely walk

If someone gave you 30€ for tickets for a long weekend for two, where would you go?

I'll tell you if you tell me.
Oh. I'll tell you anyway.

Suburban Bounty

These are pics from Karolina's and Egil's home, where I had my get out of the house floor polishing work day. And what a good day! Hey you, let's do it again, shall we?

Today I feel so excited I feel weak. This could backfire. On the other hand, since I'm a funny little beast I keep forgetting I'm excited. I think it's a normal day. And then I remember.

So what's happened?

Well of course there is tonight, but that's a bit too far away for my childish mind. Tonight is tonight. I'll revel in it when it happens. No, it's a minor task, something one might say is quite everyday:y that's got me in this mood.

I'm gonna do something that Bookofmiri does a lot, and you know what? I'm not gonna do it out of necessity and I'm even gonna try and enjoy it!

Figured it out yet?
