Lately I've been reluctant to discuss my film work with family and friends. When two out of three money people give you bad news and you're still awaiting response from the third it's hard to feel in charge. You can have the best film going for you and connect willing and able people to it and still, for various reasons, get a turn down - even if said money people claim they love your project and wish it to be made.
It makes it hard to keep your flame up.
Today my producer and I go second hand shopping/have a film meeting. It's best to mix up the hard with the fun.
