In-a-tint

One long lovely day, as seen through the warmth of my sunglasses.

In the midst

Today is barbeque, croquet, sunshine, music and friends in the park - it's midsummer! I love these long days of sun and relaxation, effortless and lovely.

Bathed and baked

Sitting at night by my desk, I can still fell the sun burning on my face from a weekend of sun and wine and Glennliness.

Lovely Lidia is here from Barcelona and it's nice to team up with everyone and enjoy how we no longer live in darkness. No matter what troubles we might encounter before then, the holidays do lie ahead.

Inside I'm reeling ever so slightly from the punch in the face that is Kimberley Reed's excellent and sad documentary Prodigal Sons. (What unknown legacy did Orson Welles leave behind?) It's up at SVT Play until June 24th.

Birthday Boy

I love these photos by Karolina Brobäck and Jonas Esteban Isfält, how the golden light hits our sculpturally handsome faces. They were taken at an early Snotty DJ-evening in the name of FlexiLiebe. (My, my hair was short.)

For some time I've looked immensely forward to this weekend.

Apart from us putting a DJ Flex in the night, tonight at Babajan, Katarina Bang 75, it's my lovely Glenn's birthday this weekend! His last birthday was a treat, with bubbles in the grass and a balaclava photo contest.

High quality celebrational silliness will be required.
Have a splendid weekend y'all!

Yes! We're so Swedish!

On this the National Day of Sweden I celebrate by reading the Färgfabriken exhibition Building Blocks magazine, an exhibition where children come up with ideas for houses and architect bureaus attempt to realize them.

(I blogged about this exhibition ever so slightly once before.)

Here are some ideas from Lili, Nina, Erykah, Miriam, Mustafa, Ketcho, Latavia and Jamal at Friars Primary in London:

Sweetie House: On top of the house there's a giant lookout cherry.

Big Globe House: The shape of the rooms are those of the continents. There is a cat called Broccoli and an Africa bed with an Egypt shaped pillow.

Balloon House: The windows blow bubbles.

Sing Out Mansion: "My dog is called Doodle doo, he's my slave and his fur collects information and finishes my homework."

Happy Sweden day to us all!

Confetti world

I celebrate my birthday by taking this spring's very first pollen pill.
I wish it came in the shape of a miniscule cake,
complete with frosting and candles, but it's a plain white.

I can't make my mind up about tonight:
Should I be a good board member and go to the annual meeting,
or stay at home and make vegetarian plankstek with my boy?
(Törley and plankstek, the highlights of the Hungarian cuisine...)

PS. Karol sent me a lovely animation, and Lidia a lovely birthday song:
Tuxedomoon - In a manner of speaking
I press repeat.

Dinner and rave

Here are my remaining Easter pics:
Dinner at my mother's and Cynthia Stern in full on rave mood.
It's been a busy weekend, but I don't look forward to the working week,
for I just want more sweet time with my sweet heart.

Funny because it's true

Don't we remind you of Betty and Don Draper in suavity, handsomeness and composure? I think so.

I think I'm the only one in the world who really likes this photo.

Tomorrow it's one year with the Glenn. I've already advertised about this great event but here goes one more time:

Babajan, Katarina Bang 73, Stockholm, 21-01

Flexi DJing til our arms drop and we become DJ Handsfree the brutal version. The icing on the cake is we'll play our first Colouroïd track Red Star. My my. I'm not sure it'll be the final ultimate version, but great and loving and fun it'll be for sure.

PS1. Great things to do with make up.
PS2. Are people really this dumb?

Last last weekend: Ice ice liebling

Glenn determinedly sliding away for his Norwegian lookout castle.

After Kaknästornet we did one of the things that I like the best - take an ice walk. It's even better with sunshine, the little shards of ice glittering into you eyes, a crisp sensation. I love the fact that your city can suddenly start feeling like wilderness or something aged that doesn't relate to now.

The idea was to take a glass at beloved Blå Porten but it was breaking at the seams from mothers and babies and retired people and tourists, it sounded more like a merry beer hall than a quaint little Carl Larsson:y place.

So we went home.

Today, this morning, sitting in bed with the sheets wrapped around me, this feels very far away. What will next weekend be like, starting off with our musical celebration?

Last weekend: World from afar

After all the art we had a dinner party at home and then shot off to celebrate a birthday in the name of acid.

Sunday morning called for brunch... I longed for a place full of light and sunshine. How about Kaknästornet? Probably because I'm a Stockholmare since birth I've never been.

Vego brunch at the 28th floor, there's nothing wrong about that.

The view inspired me to start a Flickr set for my growing collection of cities as seen from telescopes. I'll keep the pics coming, little by little.

The enormous, lovely Babajan bar sign.

PS. This Friday Glenn and I celebrate our one year anniversary at Babajan with a Flexi DJset and also we'll play our first Colouroïd track! Welcome!
